Tatiana Shmayluk was part of a band that played covers of reggae, ska, ska-punk and funk. Initially, she was only supposed to temporarily replace Jinjer. She is also a tattoo artist and sometimes makes her own stage clothing. The Otep singer was one of her first inspirations. Jinjer became particularly known for its live session of “Pisces”, Tatiana's growl of which was the subject of much analysis and commentary on YouTube. The group faced two wars: that of Donbass in 2014, during which the group had to take refuge in Lviv, and the invasion of Ukraine which began in 2022. In this context, the Ukrainian government granted a travel permit to the group as an ambassador.
